Hi, thanks for this tutorial, will really help going forward. Can I ask does the model 1 and model 2 require the same laser replacement and if so can this tutorial be used for my model 2?

I guess the new ones don't have soldering points any more but I still check before I install.

Hi. If that ribbon cable is disconnected from the laser assembly board, or damaged, would that in any way effect the 'CD Video Card' slot? Or are they separate?

Hey hopper where is the best place to get used broken consoles? eBay ? And what percentage profit do you try to make once you fix a console? Like 30% more for what you pay for? I want to get into this as a hobby.

Yard sales, thrift stores, and at your local auction. I try to stay around 50% but that doesn't always work. It's more of what your are comfortable with. Some you make more and some you just just make a little.

Hi! I have been searching for a straight forward tutorial on replacing the laser for a model one saturn. What are the specifications of the laser? When I go on ebay I see different lasers. Do you have a link for the exact laser you used? I would appreciate your help.
