Thanks for this video. I very much enjoyed the pace and detail you shared. By following your detailed instructions (that are clearly the result of knowledge and experience gained over time), I was easily able to fix the O-Ring. It never even occurred to me that high pressure air heats and melts the ring which was clearly the case when I removed it. Lesson learned - do it slowly. Thanks again.

You can apply this very educational leak troubleshoot to other airguns. Then need the right o-rings. Please mention the o-ring sizes and durometers needed in the P15. Glad you're back again making videos! Love your night vision vids but you will need bug repellant lotion and treated clothing during the bug seasons.

I have a ton of orings and I just match the old oring to the new one and replace it so I don't know the sizes. I am looking forward to doing some night vision video in the fall and I will be mindful of the biting bugs. Thanks.

Just got my P15 this week. Hand pump arrived today and a compressor arrives next week. Could not fill it for the life of me with the hand pump. Read both manuals forward and back, looked for info on the net, nothing. Found a Brit doing a takedown series on the P15 and started watching that just in case it proved useful, but with my girls in the room with me and his adult language, I clicked on your video since I knew it would be kid friendly. Didn't think it would be very useful to me, since my gun is new, but watched anyway. Out of nowhere you mentioned that if the gun is empty, you need to cock it in order for it to hold air. Bingo! Now my gun is full. The fact that they don't mention this in the very poor excuse for a manual that comes with it is incredible. Thank you.
@aaroncantrell8819

I think hand pumps are for superman and other action heroes only because most mortals just can't do it continually. I do not feel the need to learn how to breakdown the P15s because I have only had to change the fill port o-rings. I think that no one mentions the empty air tank filling problem because all guns have to be cocked when filling from empty. So as soon as one hears the are escaping the first thing they understand is that the hammer is pressing against the valve and letting the air out. But I do think that the owners manual should mention it. Thanks.
@SLG1911
@SLG1911 3 жыл бұрын
@@aaroncantrell8819 I have now filled the gun 4 times with the hand pump, and am excited for the compressor to arrive this week. It is probably common knowledge among air gunners that the hammer presses on the valve when at rest, but being new to pcp's, I did not know that. The manual says that if it won't hold air, you should cock it and dryfire it. I did that and of course it took me right back to the same problem. Your video is the only place I have seen mention of the need to cock it. As a powder burner, I would never have guessed that the hammer presses the valve open when at rest, so that is good info for me to have. BTW, what pellets does your .25 P15 prefer? What size groups at what distance do you get with them? Thank again!

@@SLG1911 My P15 shots the JSB 25.39gr pellets at 800 fps. It is a only pellet I use in in it. I did a of video of the P15 at the range shooting from 10 to 100 yards but I can remember the group sizes. Look up the video and it will show the mildot holdover and the groups. Best of luck.

Glad I’m not the only person that leaves the fill probes in my guns. I use a soft rubber cap I found in the cooking section on Amazon-50 PCs for6$. I think they use them for olive oil metal pour nipples. Get a can of CO2/ compressed air to help clean my guns for those hard to reach places too. Q-tips sometimes leave cotton that’s hard to see and will make the new o-ring leak and the can of air gets that cotton out really good and gets the dust off gently but thoroughly. I still may get a P-15 even though I need another airgun like I need a hole in my head. Thanks for sharing your helpful tips and I’m glad your back and ok. Take care,God bless. S.W Pa

I am aware that Q-tips can leave a bit of cotton so I use high pressure air to blow it out of places I can't see or reach. As for the probe I found that the cap from a car or tank innertube works perfectly. Thanks for watching and best of luck.

I love both guns and the Puncher Breaker and they both about the same price. The Puncher Breaker was on my list to purchase because of its power wheel, accuracy and great looks. However it was heavy and a bit loud and unregulated. So I got the P15 because it was much lighter, more compact and regulated. However If I was in the uk I would consider the puncher breaker because with the power wheel it can be adjusted to 12 flbs by the owner. Best of luck.

Aaron, does the pull length differ on the p15 vs FX wildcat, or impact? Some of the bullpup designs are too small and I don’t feel like building up the stock if it isn’t necessary. Also, what do you feel about the Zbroia vs the P15 closest competitor in terms of reliability?
@aaroncantrell8819
@aaroncantrell8819 4 жыл бұрын
No the pull length does not differ because the P15 can be adjusted to any pull length you want. I am 6' 2" so I did have to build up the stock to accommodate my long reach. As for competition the Zbroia Kozak is a very well made gun but cost almost double the price of the P15 and it is much heavier if I recall correctly. Thanks for watching and best of luck.

Aaron, have you heard about an extended plenum for the P15 from Xtreme Airguns in South Africa? $73 delivered to the US about 3 days after the order. Really opens up the tuning window. I gained 50fps with the stock settings. Tuning for same power (32fpe) I had before the plenum it’s noticeably more quiet (and efficient). Interesting part for those who want to tinker. BTW: have you seen SPA’s new P35? It’s a P15 with a side lever. Looks like an FX Wildcat.
