HOW TO REPLACE A MIXER TAP IN A MOTORHOME OR CARAVAN

Hi all just a quick video on how to get to and replace your mixer taps in a caravan or motor-home

That earth wire attaches to one of your sink screws! it is a bonding wire.

Mark great video just what I was looking for. My tap is leaking and just wants the o rings,would you no where to get them. I've been to plumbing and caravan shops and no joy. .

So..how do you replace a mixer tap

They earth tag goes under one of the sink fixing screws. Just like earth bonding your pipes but you can’t because there are plastic. Any short circuits if you have and you touch will send to earth and trip you fuse or rcd rather than kill you. Now you know.

One wire earths the hand bowl, and the other goes back to ground earth.

If you take screw out of plug from top, basin lifts off

You the same sink as mine in a CI motorhome, but I want to know how to disconnect the water pipes though?? 😏

If you have white push fits you have to push the front of the fitting into the main body and this will release the grip on the pipe so by holding the main body put your fingers round the the front of the fitting pull it in to the main body and at the same time pull the pipe out of the fitting to refit push the pipe back into the main body and pull the front part back out i believe your water pipe is blue and red or just blue hope this helps ATB Mark

Bit concerning having all those exposed electrical terminals etc directly under the sink. Hope it doesn't leak!!

Sorry, but Vid does not do what it says on the can, namely "REPLACE MIXER TAP" (It shows how to take sink out!) I'm looking for help on REPLACING MIXER TAP, especially how to separate push fit and screw fit connectors!
