Great job. For heavily tarnished and crudded up bezels and such, I like to use NOXON 7 Metal Polish while using a wooden craft stick for those really stubborn spots. This is then followed with a wipe down with a shop towel dipped in a water and baking soda solution. I use Simichrome for the final polish to give the bezel that "POP". Of course the brass will eventually tarnish unless it is sprayed with lacquer. However, your dial pan wasn't that bad. So, using Simichrome was the right decision.

I never heard of Noxon 7 before. I looked it up and the prices almost made my eyes pop out. lol Thanks for the tips. Never tried baking soda and water either, but I do know that baking soda and coconut oil will give you glowing skin. 😁
@brettfavrewelfarequeen9886Ай бұрын
@time4clocks You're very welcome. The water and baking soda solution is used to neutralize the ammonia in the Noxon 7. Hey, I use plain coconut oil as a hand moisturizer and for popcorn too. 😂

To me, the dial that you took off, didn't really look that bad. I probably would have left it alone, however I did enjoy your video, well done.
@time4clocksАй бұрын
Thank you, Steven! The smaller circle on that dial was for a second sweep hand, which this clock didn't have so I thought it looked kind of odd. I should have talked about it more. 😁
