Friends in this video I am going to replace the transmission fluid temperature sensor. A local dealer wanted $1200 for the job. I did it myself for about 60 bucks.

Thanks for the compliment. Having turned 70 this past year it was a little more of a job then I really wanted to tackle these days.

@richardspaulding5035 it's not an easy one, especially without a lift.
@richardspaulding5035 Жыл бұрын
@@ozzstars_cars I would love to have a lift but at my age I cannot justify the expense not knowing how much longer I will be able to do this stuff. As it was I was interrupted halfway through the job with a brief hospital stay. LOL

Thanks, great to hear from you, I have some sad news, my beloved Sheperd has passed away. I have not decided if I will announce it on the channel.

Thanks, at my age it was not the sort of repair I wanted to get involved with. I was just trying to help out my sister-in-law (A widow on a limited income). You see I have a heart condition. Deeply imbedded in my heart is a disease called kindness as I have suffered with this my whole life. LOL

couldnt u get too that cover that housing the sensor after removing the driver side tire and splash cover?
@richardspaulding50356 ай бұрын
Yes, I thought I showed that in the video. I got the bolts on the top of the cover after removing the battery tray, then I got what I could from under the car and all the rest by removing the wheel and splash cover as you suggested.

@@joesmith6524 I am very sorry I have taken so long to reply. Yes the top bolts. as I recall there are 4 bolts to the cover that you need to remove the battery tray to get at.

@@richardspaulding5035 ok thanks, daughter has a 2010 Hyundai Santa same,radio is dead,any suggestions,take your time in replying no hurry,great job on the sensor that's a 500/600 $ job at any shop,today everything is that,crazy,i worked i cars myself save lots of $$

@@joesmith6524 I really did not want to get involved in changing that sensor. The car was purchased by my sister in-law from a friend of mine. So, I felt obligated to help her with the repair. I do not quite understand the question. Are you asking about the radio? On my sister in-law's car, the radio turns on all by itself at times while she is driving. She tells me she thinks the car is haunted. If you remove the radio from the dash some of the Hyundai radios have a fuse built into the back of the case.
