I upgraded my 2wd stsmpede to brushless and stripped the spur. Replaced with a metal 52t spur gear and 15t pinion 0.8mod and it cogs very bad when under the slightest bind. Put the oem plastic spur and 18t pinion and it runs fine. Will the stampedes not turn that metal spur gear?

Well let me ask you this, is your car brushed or brushless?

Wait I just reread that. Maybe it’s over geared?

my slipper clutch nut just keeps spinning and rotating the axle but its not moving in or out... Any tips?
@TheRCGenius2 жыл бұрын
You need to apply pressure to the slipper clutch to make it stop spinning and allow you to loosen the nut. You can do this by pressing on the spur gear to create that friction. The other thing you can do is take a small 1.5mm Allen wrench and slide it through one of the openings of the spur gear. Behind the back side off the slipper clutch there are small ridges that you can catch a glimpse of through the openings on the spur gear. Get the Allen wrench behind one of those ridges to keep it from spinning while you loosen the nut. If that doesn’t work, you can try putting the tire back on, and try removing the spur gear nut. The tires on the ground/table you are working on should keep the axles from spinning. Hope this helps.
