I changed one of them and accidentally let go of the wires and i may have put the clips in the wrong order,how do i fix it?

Pretty much the same process for replacing a stuck connector on a 2015 RAM. I just cut away the tab on the connector and old coil pack, the locking tab broke and locked it on. Once I had the connector off the coil pack I was able to transfer the wires to the new connector housing, and even tranfered a plug as not all the pins are used.

Nice video. Are these connectors alone generally available from Toyota dealerships, or are these aftermarket parts? I also saw a video where just use a zip tie to lock into the tab that seems to work well too but your route obviously fully restores original functionality. Have you tried the zip tie approach though?

Those are available online. Maybe the dealership too. My connector was crumbling. Zip method is good but not in my case

The hard part is figuring out the Toyota part number. Some online places will charge you an arm and a leg for each connector. They are a lot cheaper on Amazon.

@@sd906238 Thanks. Actually I called my local Toyota dealer, got the part number and ordered a set of 6 for just a few bucks each. I recently discovered on-line orders through Toyota dealers offers incredible discount. Genuine OEM parts too rather than risk third party Amazon.

You need a wire schematic with a connector diagram showing the different pin positions of the connector and what wire goes into each. I don't have that to help you in this situation. Wish I did.

Great video, thanks. Mine is misfiring when idling and mechanic said it's either the ignition coils or their connectors. Any ideas?

Mate I'm about to do this but when i took my engine cover off their was oil all over the coils and this was due to whoever filled the engine with oil, They were spilling it and over time made it's way under the engine cover blanket. So i cleaned the best i could with brake clean but was very careful. 🇦🇺

Wow that's easier than taking candy from a baby, now lets see how much disassembly you'll have to do to surrounding harnesses to access a 6 or 8 cylinder coil pack connectors.

This is the way to do it for sure... Butt connectors, splices should be avoided whenever possible. I went to the dealer to buy new connectors, the told me only the complete wiring harness is available, yipes! Will have to find aftermarket connectors... Those little clips on the connectors are impossible to operate without breakage...

Hello , I’m such a bonehead I replaced all my connectors that were falling apart I thought I was being careful but apparently not I still must have screwed up the pins now my car won’t start😢 are you able to let me know what colors go where on coils 1-4 please. Car just cranks but won’t start now🤦🏻‍♂️ I should have take a picture. Checked my coil packs with a tester and I’m not getting spark on any.
