I have to agree w- previous commenters that the "close-up of the groove" was the key take-away that made this video so helpful. Once I got that groove aligned, and the inside-the-door lever locked & loaded, this was "easy".

Very helpful i had everything go out at once trunk struts, window motors, both sliding doors. Thought i was gunna have to get a new car all together since it would cost a pretty penny to go to someone to fix it all, i was worried it would be a pain to fix it all myself . Then i found your video and saw it was definitely not as hard as i thought. I can do this ill get this van back into shape 😊

You are amazing!! Easily found new oem part in my color online for about $30. Installed in less than 15 minutes. The string popped out and it was hooked just like your video. The one thing I did add was a small piece of blue painters tape to the nut that holds the piece on the left on (I was paranoid of it falling into the door). Other than that - perfect to a t. Last time this happened, my toyota dealer charged me more than $300, claiming the labor it took to remove the door panel. Thank you so much.

Worked like a charm. I tried to get a color-matched handle at the parts store you used but they never called me back. I ended up getting a black one online for $13.00 at Discount Body Parts and it actually looks pretty cool.

This worked for me on my 2006 Sienna LE! Thank you!! I had to change the passenger side, so the round rubber hole cover shown in the video (on driver's side) was a plastic piece that was easy to pry off with a screwdriver. The video did not show the front end handle support being removed, but made it look like it came right out after loosening the screw. I had to work mine for several minutes before it finally came out. Using the string to pull forward (towards me) the spring-loaded lever worked, but took some time to figure out exactly what to do (I could not see in the video what the lever looked like). Thanks again for the helpful video!

from the inside, you can still open the door. From the inside, use an unfolded paper clip to slide the child lock lever upwards.
