thanks for doing this video I learned some things today . I would like to ask you something regarding the expansion tank . my water system has PRV and now I know I have to install back expansion tank to cold water line but do you have any advice or instructions how to remove and put it back.

Jorge Montalvo You won't have to remove the pressure regulator because it should be right at the entrance of your main water line as it comes into the home. It should be out of the way and left alone. The expansion tank usually goes next to the water heater in a vertical position. You will be able to follow the instructions that come with the tank for the install. The tank should say how big of a water heater it can handle. If the regulator is in your way, you could cut it out and place it closer to the location where your water line enters the home. You might just need to look up more videos to do this.

It was like that because you have to put pex 16" from the co2 outlet.

Those high loops would’ve been there to act as heat traps. That might not be an issue with the newer heater since many have them built in, but some still do not.

Pex should be installed 18” off the top of the water heater per national plumbing code. I just found this out

I ended up moving the cold line to the right side instead of so close to the vent to keep the pex away from the heat.

The pressure relief valve is in case your water heater thermostat fails and the tank doesn't overheat becoming a bomb. I work for the gas company, nice job explaining the slope of the vent and soaping the flex connections. Yes, you don't need tape on flex connections, in fact I use a touch of grease. Good to see your draft diverter was reinstalled on top of the new tank-it HAS to be there to aid in venting process.😀Good work!

After a few days, but after I posted the video, I noticed that. I move it to the other side where I had more room away from the vent. The problem is not being able to edit the video. I tried posting a comment that would show at the top and let people know it shouldn't be that close. Thanks for the comment and I hope people read some of this stuff and know that.

at 13:01 : 150 PSI !!???? your water pressure is set way too high. 30-60 PSI is recommended.

150 PSI was in reference to the pressure needed for the pressure relief valve to activate. My pressure in the household is 70 PSI.
