4:07 If I don't have the zipper foot for my sewing machine, can I just use the pressure foot instead?
@BradKandyCroftFamily5 жыл бұрын
I used to use the regular foot on mine when doing a zipper often. The zipper foot is generally used for invisible zippers. The regular foot might be a little harder to use, if, where you need the stitch, is close enough to the zipper that it ends up under the foot and lifts the foot off the cloth. Then you have problems with the cloth and zipper moving along the sewing machine properly. If that happens, you have to basically pull the fabric along like the machine would do it.
@AlexSDU5 жыл бұрын
@@BradKandyCroftFamily I see. Thank you. I only learned making pants once, and that was over 20 years ago. But I do remember that we didn't use the zipper foot, Just the regular foot.

I am trying to unpick the topstitch on a mans outdoor jacket to remove the zip, but it is difficult . What is the best way?
@craftyamy932 жыл бұрын
For really difficult stitches like that, if you have small thread scissors you’ll have to cut a thread at a time until it loosens.. I’m assuming it’s the backtac on it , it should loosen up after a few snips

How do you add a side zipper to pull-on pants? I bought these very nice dress pants at Kohl's and the fit is perfect, being very petite. However, these pants really should've been made with a zipper. I'd like to add one, if possible. Thank you. :)

Nice video.,Youre very pleasant and obviously a pro.Umm. I can handle fixing a jeans zipper that broke. Taking out a cheaper zipper and replacing it though entirely may not be my expertise as a man. On this I ll defer I think to another pro - such as yourself.

there is no reason to waste the first 2 minutes of the video showing nothing. replacing a zipper is self explanitory as a title. just my opinion.
