Step one (not shown) disconnect battery. Otherwise it gets exciting when the harness is removed and touches ground. :^)

At the disassembly/removal segment, you did not disturb or remove the AC belt, yet at the installation, you loosened the AC pump and put a belt on it. Is it necessary to remove the AC belt for some undisclosed reason?

Really well done video. Well documented step by step process, clear visibility and articulate. I'd recommend disconnecting the battery just to avoid an accidental short when disconnecting/reconnecting the alternator.

3:25 when I bought my 2006 Subaru Legacy it had a terrible squeaking noise when turning. It went on like this for two years until I finally learned enough about cars to take a look under the hood. Turns out even though the drive belt was tightened as far as it would go, that little metal piece that held the adjuster bolt to the alternator bolt was put in BACKWARDS so it was unable to tighten all the way. Once I fixed that the squeaking went away.

I sure wish I had watched any of the many other videos on this repair and not this one. I didn't disconnect my battery, and shorted my main fuse accidentally. Took me hours to figure out what had happened. This should have been a simple fix, and instead turned into a large waste of time.

Big step missing, disconnect the battery before disconnecting the alternator power wire.

*STEP ONE OS TO DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY* I imagine this video is for people who are new to working on their vehicles and that is a step that will make many more problems, if skipped. Im not convinced that you have ever performed this before, as there was an edit, every time you barely managed to get through almost describing a step. (Also, what was up with the AC belt?)
