There are three different alternators used on EZ engines over the years: 100 A for 2001-05, 110A for 2006-09 3.0 liter and 130 A for 2008+ 3.6 liter. They fully interchange mechanically and electrically, so upgrades can be made easily for lower-rated units if desired.

This was the first “mod” I did to my Forester. I had a custom 250 amp hairpin alternator built and it works awesome. Supplies plenty of power for any accessories you want or need to add, such as off-road lights.

Yea that thing can be a pain sometimes. I don't think it's possible to slot it on the 4 cylinder cars. I would have to double check.

Hey I like to camp off grid with my Bluetti AC200 battery generator I’m curious what do you think about a bigger alternator to charge a Bluetti while driving or while the engines running it needs a lot of watts to even take a charge. And I’m thinking some kind of isolator as well. So that when the engines off it doesn’t take electricity from my car battery. ?? Do you by chance have a video of this above. ?? Or any suggestions. Van people do this with their vans but I know our Subaru 2015 ‘s are fancy electrical things.

Does it charge from a cigarette lighter? I think on most Subaru the port only is active when the vehicle is running.

Plug should of been replaced. You can see the one wire is pushed out of the slot halfway lol New plug with unstaled wores is like 10 bucks on ebay
