Thank you for the video. Helped a lot! Pro tips: 1) Plug the power steering reservoir hole with some rubber so you don't make a mess like I did. 2) Old spark plugs did a decent job at plugging the hose hole. Use the hose crimp on the spark plug so you don't spill PS fluid. 3) Hang the alternator by the top two bolts. Don't tighten them fully. They should almost be snug. You'l want to be able to wiggle the new alternator just a little while you get that lower 14mm bolt in. 4) Have a buddy help you take the tension off the belt tensioner so you can focus on reinstalling and aligning the belt.

2000 Honda Accord 3.0 V6 you must remove the passenger side condenser fan to remove and install the alternator. Condenser fan has a few clips to disconnect and then (x2) 10mm bolts on the top left and right, and (x1) 10mm bolt on the bottom, dead center.

You should specifiy that this is for the V6 engine since the accord was also sold with an I4. I have a V6 so you get an upvote from me but I just got lucky. The title should say which engine it's for. Edit: The repair worked. Thanks for the help.

wow underrated video man this one should be at the top. I will say im having quite the nightmare trying to put BACK IN that lower 14mm bolt. Its like i get it lined up, try spinning it with my finger, nothing happens.

Very helpful video but instead of taking out the power steering line it would honestly be better to take off the condenser fan so that way the alternator comes out nice & quick

Dammm best video I've seen yet, perfect lighting and instruction, this will apply to my 2000 Acura TL as well. Instead of taking off the power steering resvior I took off the condenser fan so I could get the ALT out.

Does anyone know if the 105 amp alternator from a 2001 Honda Accord coupe V6 is a direct swap to a 2002 Honda Accord Coupe 4 cyl? They look awfully similar at a glance. I have a wrecked V6 here I don't have the money for a new alternator.
