Is the gasket better than the RTV that was on there before? How is holding up?

The RTV is actually better than the gasket, I regret installing it.

Did the transmission start to slip after the fluid change? And do you change the filter as well?

Did not slip or anything, I only drain the one in the transmission pan regarding replacing the gasket. Did not replace the filter either. Transmission still pulls good. Sorry for the late reply.
