Hey guys, in this video we will demonstrate how to replace battery on Ford Fiesta MK7. We demonstrated on 2015 Ford Fiesta ST but it should be very close procedure for most Ford Fiesta from 2008 to 2017. Always follow the right procedure about disconnecting the battery and connecting the battery terminals.

For safety reasons you should always remove the cable from the negative terminal first. Then you disconnect the positive terminal cable.

You dont need to wear gloves. Just dont touch both of the terminals at the same time with a wrench. If you get acid on you put baking soda on it. It naturalizes the acid.

Pro tip If you have the battery in the trunk make sure you open the hatch before removing the battery from the engine bay.

I have just changed my battery. I reset the stop start function by pressing the fog light, and hazard lights. I have reset the clock. The date is wrong, how do I reset it and do I have to reset anything else. Cheers

You shouldnt need to unfasten the bolt for ground connection I believe there is enough clearance for the battery

This is not as simple as they made it out to be, you need a diagnostic tool after changing the battery, you have to basically tell the ECU that you changed it, which is why many of you are having problems with radio's etc, the newer ford car battery change are nothing like changing the old one, just a quick swap, because of all the tech built in, there is a lot more to it now than that.

I changed mine and didn't have to reset anything! Stereo worked fine, just had to put my BASS back up :D kzbin.info/www/bejne/al64kpluobOWhNE Procedure to reset stereo system or whatever if you do run into issues is here, if on a model that doesn't have 'rear fog lights!?' (that's a thing?) then follow this: Procedure must be carried out within 10 seconds:1. Switch ignition on (engine off)2. Pull and release high beam 5 times3. Press and release brake pedal 3 times4. If successful the battery light will flash 3 times within the next 15 seconds5. BMS reset completed

It will lost the normal programs and might need or it might reprogrammed the computer unit. I don't think this is the right way of removing battery for Ford cars.

@@frankaraullo8195 You're completely in left field here. The only codes that may show is that you may need to re-enter your radio code after swapping a newer Ford battery. This code is in the car manual for your car as a sticker or small attached card. If you do not have the code, call Ford and they provide it free of service. You will need your VIN when you call though to be provided this code. The only other thing to note, is if you have the "Learning Transmission" it will reset and have to learn your driving style again.

@Praque Forqsk I asked a mechanic friend, he said the computer will just take sometime to do a self re-learn when battery has been disconnected for a period of more than 30 minutes. I don't know if true or not but i have to trust the mechanic because my Ford Fiesta car battery is now very near to be replace and i must be ready for any circumstances...
