Great share! Heads up: on the 2012 you have to be careful with the glovebox light connector when you pull the glovebox assembly out of the housing. disconnect the light before pulling the assembly out all the way.

ybemad Thanks for the post. Is the light on a small plastic connector? Plus r there two screws under the drop down part of the glove box? I can only see two one on the left snd right. Any info will be appreciated.

I just replaced the filter on our 2013 Kia Soul. There were 8 screws. I pulled out the glove box and disconnected glove box light. Easy replacement. Reason: A.C. was not very efficient. It was blowing cool air but not cold. It was starting to blow low and high and then stopped. Later it was working but not great. I though blower was going out. Was told it might be motor resistor. Pulled out filter and it was filthy. Replaced filter and it works great. If a.c is not working properly this is the cheapest fix before taking it to shop. They might be honest and just replace filter or they might charge you hundreds of dollars.

I thought this would be a quick and fun project for me with my Kia Soul 2011. After removing all 8 screws I could not remove the glove box even with some force. What could be the problem?

Double check and make sure all of the screws are removed. The glovebox should come out just fine after they are out.

I agree. It is like the assembly is attached to the dash above. I don't even see a gap at the top. Do you also have the base model w/ manual transmission?

Anyone know where the fan blower motor resistor is located for a 2013 Kia Soul? According to manual it's behind glove box but I can't find it. I looked at what a resistor looks like but nothing looks familiar.
