Yup lol shops are insane. When I was 17 I paid $700 to change an ac compressor. And at that they replaced it with a chinese compressor, the car was a ford. That was the last time in my life I ever visited a mechanic. If they can do it with their two arms, you can do it with yours. I only visit car ac specialists after I've fixed the issue and need a refrigerant re-charge. My blood, sweat, tears, and a few bucks are worth the trouble saving $700 lmao

No it wasn’t. It is damn hard trying to pry things off. I finally had to go to a British site to figure out how to get the first panel off. You pull it towards the front in a 2012 model. There is nothing to unclip. Now I’m back here for the rest of it because the housing is completely different in the UK versus the US model. It would be nice if they could give tool suggestions so we could get those pins out. My hands are completely ripped up with cuts from plastic and bruises. And I still haven’t been able to “pull them straight down.”

there are a number of hidden clips holding the side panel. my upper panel had two clips which use a plug inside a clip that you pop out with a thin screwdriver (I used a putty knife)

Tried to disconnect the Blue & black electrical connector, but unable to do so. I could not find a tab that unclip it. Where is the tab or does it have it at all? I have the 2012 model.

To disconnect the blue and black electrical connector you just need to slide it down so it comes off of the connection that holds it to the housing.

The whole plug slides down to detach from the plastic brace. I thought the lady said the plug unclips. I guess it does but not from itself.

@@filterheads And that didn’t answer the clip issue. There is no clip to press on the 2012 model I have no idea how to undo this other than break it. I’m talking about the first panel. When you say to “unclip it” and there is no clip, I don’t know if forcing it is going to break it or not.
