City Cinderella, I am the father of 3 beautiful independent women. And to read how you are tackling this problem made me feel so darn good. I taught my girls how to change oils, spark plugs, tires, drop a transmission, They can lay floors, hang doors, even do electrical work. And with all due respect to their husbands They ( Leo’s Girls) can do things that My boys would never dream of doing. Recently my eldest daughter have to change an C02 Sensor on her Fiat. She called me and asked me for some tools. I asked her what she was doing and she told me that the dealership was asking her for $876.00 for a top sensor… Guess who did it. My baby girl. This is a really great video, thank you! I like how you go step by step including how to pop the hood! I do a decent amount of work on my car but not everyone has any base knowledge and a really simple task like this can seem daunting when you have no experience, and you made this very accessible to all skill levels. Also very jealous of that screwdriver haha I'm gonna have to get one!

Thank you for the kind words. That screwdriver is one of my favourite tools when working around delicate areas like an engine bay because dropping a screw can be painful to retrieve.

Good video... but you can make it easier to access if you remove the engine cover... makes it easier to get to the filter cover. dude.... where did you get that extension with screw driver and little hex head you use in most of the video... love it !

Thanks for the tip. As for the tool - search "lock and drive screwdriver". You'll see various options from brands such as Klein, Grainger and Mastercraft. I actually thought it was a weird gimmick when I bought my set on sale years ago, but they turned out to be one of my favourite items in the tool box.

Easy enuff; BUT the air filter cover is NOT, repeat NOT, that easy to pull out. It helped to unpop the engine cover. Also, I removed the screw on the passenger side with an 8mm wrench because the "lip" is too high and blocks your way of getting to it with a normal screwdriver (you'll notice how he comes in at an angle on that screw in the video). Also, use an 8mm wrench to unsecure the inlet hose to the air filter compartment. Then you can shift the entire assembly to your right towards the driver's side and then you can pull the whole thing out, remove the old filter, give the inside a good wipe-down and install the new filter.
