This is close. As someone else mentioned for sure need step flashing not continuous. I know some use it but it’s not the greatest. But I love how they do their backpan. Let the wings hang over instead of cut to the corner of the chimney. My wall flashing on the sides (overtop the step flashing) has 3 inches out over the roof so wider than this, and I bring my backpan to that edge. You can spray paint the back of the backpan black or whatever colour to match as it will be visibly grey or whatever other backing colour depending on the roll of metal used.

it is supposed to be in metal shingle like pieces in a step pattern alternating between metal flashing and shingle.. caulking cracks within five years, so that is when this will leak

Yea I don't comment most of the time but that is without step flashing and bending around corners...replace the shingle , put ice and water and the do it
