This video shows you how to install a coolant temperature sensor on your 2011-2015 Chevrolet Cruze. The coolant temperature sensor sends important information to your vehicle’s computer to manage the efficiency and safety of your vehicle’s engine. A failed sensor could cause damage or overheating.
This repair was done on a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze LT 1.4L Sedan 4-Door FWD and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:

U made this look so easy. It's in a tough spot. That clip sucks..and usually goes flying..and not so easy to snap back in too. I hate this design.

Hi, thank you for the video it's really helpful, I did change mine but it's leak all the coolant and it's look like in the video it's not easy to take off , I did put the oring but still leaking coolant I wonder what I did wrong ? Because it's same sensor from my old radiator.

Should also put the 2nd sensor in the video 5he one by the engine .. also if you have smaller size arms and hands you can reach the sensor on the rad without taking anything off ..

Also, he was probably doing it on a 1.4 L I have a 1.8 so spot locations are completely different but I am kind of smart and do have a repair manual

So why was the sensor replaced? Is it because it was overheating? Fan wasn’t turning on?

Where exactly is the location of the sensor? You went over it so quickly it's really hard to tell.

What is that first connection point called. My fan wouldn't turn off yesterday after getting a new water pump installed. Now today it won't turn on. I unplugged that first connection point and it turned the fan on. Plugged it back in and it turned back off. Any ideas?
