Just incase you drop the bolt, which most likely you will, go to auto zone and buy this 006070 hex flange bolt M6-1.00x45mm is $4 bucks and sve you time and you won't have to remove the door pannel

Can you please make a video of the driver side door handle because because of the keyhole and all the wires I can't seem to get the keyhole part back in place and flush with the 10 mm screw when the handles in .... The keyhole part only since flush with where the 10 mm screw goes only when the actual handle is not in

@FixAlex we can't get the cover to release from the key cylinder after taking off the 10mm bolt. This is the for the keyed driver's door (attempted theft). Any advice??

@@marijkephoto I'm sorry but I don't have the car available to check it out anymore :/ I'm guessing it's just stuck on / snagged on something else! Take as good of a look with a flashlight as you can. Might need some more persuasion / force / twisting / shimmying etc. Carefully though ofcourse! Goodluck.

@@rigobertohernandez7333 Correct, rear is different. As far as I've seen you have to remove the inside doorpanel, but don't know yet.

​@@jackpolanen On my 2008 Sportage, the rear doors have no easy access via a pop-out plug like the front doors do. I had to remove the inside panel. As in this vid, the handle consists of two parts but the 10mm bolt that needs to be unscrewed is deeply hidden inside, twds the rear of the door and had linkage in the way, hindering acess. It took a smaller socket wrench than I even owned (which I borrowed). In order to provide the necessary clearance for the wrench, it was necessary for someone to activate & hold the door latch open from the outside. The bolt does not need to be totally removed from it's seat. I was able to start the threading in the new replacement part by using my index & middle finger (couldn't even use a thumb). I bought the part on Amazon for c. $14 and it included both front and rear parts, plus included the gaskets. It only is available in black, so I was also lucky that my Kia is black so I didn't have to paint it.

Will an EX door handle ( just handle , I know EX has key hole cut outs for both driver and passenger side) fit/work on an LX. I see in video you have LX like me with no key hole on pass. side, but they accidentally sent me and EX handle for my LX. Looks exactly the same, but u know how that assumption can go. Anyone happens to know would be much appreciated. I will check in my emails and back here to see if anyone knows. Thx in advance to anyone who may know
