Is there a torque spec for the manifold to flange nuts? I have a 2009 Silverado with a 5.3. I’m fixing to do bother passenger and driver side manifold to flange gaskets.

Nice video, 2 things, I would only use not use a Impact on the exhaust manifold bolts those to avoid breaking the bolts. Also that Manifold will snake out the bottom along the down pipe. No need to remove all that extra stuff.

I live in the cold north. We have a lot of road salt that rusts my truck. The bolts and gasket have been replaced on my 2007 2500HD twice already. It needs it again. I'm considering using stainless steel bolts this time. I'm asuming SS bolts will outlast the truck. Any reason not to use them?

I wish you would specify weather it's a 6.0 5.3 4.8. And no they are not the same! The 3500 I have you have to remove stearing shaft and so much more. Yes procedure is almost the same but it dose help us.if it's different engine. Also teaching people to use an impact on manafold bolt Is a huge no no! Yea maybe after they start moving. Also some have an egr tube that goes to the back of the manafold that is just as hard as the manafold bolts.
