What if you have a door handle that has the button to lock and unlock your where is the electrical connection on the handle

My problem is that somehow when i used the key to enter the car my lock cylinder went into the hole and is no longer visible . Did some retainer break somehow or just come loose snd fall inside the door? I hate to take it apart then find out I need to order some part from the dealer. Mine is a 2011 Cx 9 .are they all the same? Is ther somewhere I can see a parts diagram for my in year and model. Thanks for sny help you may give me.
