How to replace EXTRACTOR FAN - ENVIROVENT Silent 100T 4 inch

It can only fit on in one way as it has a cut out. That means the branding may end up facing an odd orientation

Hello! As far as I understood, you had 2 cables coming from the wall. phase and neutral, and you connected to a cable with two entries, but tree exists? Is this correct? I'm asking because my WC only has 2 cables comin out of the wall. And a extractor with timer requires 3 cables. I thought we should bring the 3rd cable from some other place that always has current and not from the switch. Hope you can help me clarify this!

Just noticed that in the end you dont connect the third able, so I suppose you cannot use the timer, right?

Hi Nelson, hope you found the video useful. The wiring in this video is live switched wire from light and neutral. The earth cpc wire is not required here as its a plastic fitting. The only way you can use a timer is you need another live permanent wire separate so the fan can have a timer in use. In this scenario there isn't a 3 core and earth wire in place. This setup was only connected to light on/off. Cheers Handy Singh.

Hi mate, yes it will clip staright away when you nudge slightly with a flat screwdriver on left or right side. It's very easy to come away. Cheers Handy Singh

Hi, on the bottom of the fan cover you will see a small round tiny clip which you need to press, depending on which way it has been fitted it could be on side too, check all sides and simply press the release button and then pull the cover. All the best.

You didn't wire up the timer. How do you do that?

Hi, you will need to have a 3 core and earth wire in place to use timer...i.e live wire/switched live and then a neutral. In this instance there isnt the correct wire in place...this only has live and neutral. This means this job was only on and off and no timer. In order to have the timer you need to connect a permanent live feed into the first terminal and then the switched live into the middle one. Cheers

I have a wet mark around mine, does it have a filter that needs cleaning?

Hi mate, where is the wet mark, on the inside of fan underneath cover or on the face of the fan? No there is no filter for these. It's normally the dust collates on the grill which needs cleaning after a while with helps suction. Cheers Handy Singh

Hi, yeah when recording for youtube you will always need to do step by step and slow down to make it easier for end user. Also this fan was an adjustment to wire entry and new holes drilled in tile. Normally like for like can be done in 2 mins. Cheers
