That's going to be 8mm x 1.25 thread pitch on those rotor release bolts. Nice vid - every step and procedure explained in detail. A lot of guys never bother to explain half the stuff they're doing ... you're just left on your own to guess about it .

Just working on my son 2007 camry here in Australia, and I don't think the rotors have ever been changed. They were giving up a good fight to get off, but after watching your video, they came off without a problem. Thanks 😊 for you very insightful and informative video. Very helpful. Regards, Paul

Thank you, sir! great step-by-step instruction for dummies and exactly what I needed to know to change my own Camry's brake pads. Over explanation is good in teaching those who have no experience doing this type of work. wish you could put a link for key tools and possibly quality brake pads in the description section but not a big deal. Thanks again and I subscribed.

Hay Jim thank you soo much brother I just did the complete brake job on my camry yeasterday. I took both slider pin out at same time but didn't pay attention which one should go back to top and bottom. Your video saved my day. So thank you. I used centric rotors and ackebono pads. Thay were smoking on first test drive after the installation and not anymore but I can smell burning. Is that normal ???? Thank you Jim
@216Booze Жыл бұрын
New rotors come with anti-rust coating out of the box. You can simply wipe them with brake cleaner before you put them on, and you won't get the burning smell after that.

When ever I push the bore back into the piston I always crack the bleeder. For two reasons makes it easier and it gets the old contaminated burnt fluid out! It's amazing how bad it is and I don't want particles push back into the brake system. Other then that great video!

Great vdo! Thanks so much. I just replaced the brake pads about 5 months ago but now the rotors are no good and it needs new rotors. The brake pads are still very good and the question is: Do I need to replace the brake pads to go along with the new rotors? Thanks!
@trungphan25504 жыл бұрын
the other question i have is: how many times can you resurface the original Toyota Camry rotors before it needs a new one?

Great video absolutely very professionally done two tiny little things on the rear you did not spray brake clean on the back side of the rotor and also if you have to adjust the break you'll have to push that rubber thing inside the drum??

Did he say it needed to be in neutral or not? Because I googled it and it said that it’s supposed to be so if it definitely is supposed to I feel like that should’ve been something that was said it could’ve been at the beginning and I just didn’t watch it a second time I don’t know

Why didn't you put on the tiny little clip that goes on top of the brake pad? They usually give you the clips that sit in the caliper bracket, but theres a tiny clip that attaches to the end of the pad.

There is no doubt you're very careful you do your due diligence you are very careful but you work like a bull in a china shop you bump into things you ain't 18 no more you better slow down and better be more careful are you going to smash some more fingers maybe a foot it's not just about the job as you get older you got to take care of yourself so why is there O-rings on the front pins only one and not anywhere else to keep the dust out?
