The Honda Fit is truly a great little car. It really is.

Great video! Thanks for the detailed step-by-step and explanations of why each step is important. A couple of things. My OEM pad set did not include the anti-rattle clips. I had to reuse the old clips. Also, the rotors on my 2012 were held in place by Philips head screws. I didn't notice them at first. They're soft metal (stainless steel?) and easily damaged. I had to use an impact driver to get one off. I put them back on, but from what I've read they're not necessary, only used as an aid to assembly in the factory. Replacements are available, however.

1:27 you skipped a step... you didn't show taking off the lock rotor screws... showing every step is important for someone doing this the first time

Would have been a great video had we been informed how to remove the two phillips head screws that are most likely frozen on to your rotor.

Removing the rotor screws is the most difficult part. This step was not in the video. Requires a special tool to remove them. A Phillips screwdriver won't work, it will strip the screws.

Great video! I used it to change the brakes on my 2009; they were completely gone, so it was really necessary.

Did your vehicle have rotor screws? I did see you remove them. Thanks

Quick question: how do you know that you didn’t over torque the bolts after you hit em with the impact? Of course your torque wrench will indicate 80lbs but If you over torque it’ll of course beep the 80 but it could actually be 90-100. Isn’t it better to do it by hand?

Does the brake caliper pin go on the top or bottom?

Wow, great video! Super informative. I was surprised I don't have to disconnect the brake lines from the piston to do this. Never worked on brakes before. Just curious, for the very last clip the entire caliper looks brand new. That can't be the same caliper from the video, right?

After doing this and the stuff from the rear brakes video I am hearing a vacuum whoosh when accelerating. Any idea what might have happened?

What did you spray the rotors with to remove the oil?
@TRQ Жыл бұрын
+Hudson Caceres You may use an all purpose solvent cleaner or degreaser.

Where are you guys located? I haven’t seen that much rust since I worked on cars in the northeast on 20 year old cars.

Forgot to show the part where you remove the two rotor retention screws. You'll likely either need an impact #3 phillips bit, or to drill them out.

Can use a C Clamp to depress the piston............Z

Seems to be missing a vital step... I had to get a 2nd wrench to hold the nut on the inside of caliper while removing the 12mm bolt.
