This is a good video but again most people don’t have a Lyft and they don’t have all this leverage to move around so it’s just a lot easier given that you have a professional set up versus most people are doing this with a jack

those Cdn 05s have different method of caliper attachment...the ones i have are headless slides and clips on the outside pads...had to relearn.,.dont take the clips off...just sink the hydraulic cup back by prying between the rotor and the caliper. have to complete the sink after the caliper is off. use a torx to loosen the two slide pins.

Would it make sense to turn that wheel all the way out to be able to access the bolts on the back side? I usually do that, especially because i have to use a floor jack . I watched two other videos where they used a floor jack and didnt have a jack stand in addition. Never do that!

Hello jim great video I have a 06 dodge caravan and I changed the front rotors and brake pads and I believe I added enuff grease to caliber pins. But when your driving and hit the brakes fells like van is shaking and you can feel it in the brake pedal only. Please help

Did you clean the rust off the hub where the rotor attaches? If the rust is not cleaned that will cause a vibration.

@@jimthecarguy hello jim no I did not do you think that would cause it to happen? Like I said when you hit the brakes it's almost like the van chugging to stop

@@russellprice7628 Yes you should pull off the rotors and check for rust. If there is no rust then the rotors are warped . If there is rust you will need to clean it all off and reassemble. Take a picture and send it to me of the hub below the rotor.

@@jimthecarguy ok as soon as I am able to take everything apart I will check and send photos, I did check the new rotors and they are smooth with no groves and I am not seeing any hot spots, not sure if I mentioned it or not but the brakes were do this before I replaced everything new and the old brake pads were still pretty good but the rotors were bad with groves, I replaced the brake pads and rotors with new ones.
