Thank you, with your help I've replaced the latch on both the driver and passenger doors of my 2010 Ford Escape successfully. (Driver wouldn't always lock, passenger wouldn't always unlock.)

I have a 2008 mazda tribute, I am not sure if my lock actuator failed but it will not lock electronically and when I push down on the lock rod it will not lock either. Is that from a failed lock actuator?

What if the door is closed? How can you get to the cable or get the door open? Pulling the handle (inside or out) does nothing. Ugh. Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't think I need the latch, but I need the top portion that the handle attachs to for an 08 Escape. Having a hard time tracking that down. Do you guys carry this part?
