I own Gen 2 2008 year Hayabusa and I want to thank you @MototalkUSA for making these videos of all the maintenance and guidance you have shared in KZbin so far. I did a big maintenance this spring (valve clearance, oil (and filter) change, air filter, spark plugs) and front tire and disk brakes I did at the shop cos I did not know how to do this myself. Thanks for sharing this for future knowledge! Peace from Finland! 🤜🤛

Thank you for making these. The same thing happened to me recently. I'll get this shake that happens at high speed that I never used to get, and I had a pirelli rosso 3 on the front. It even got down to the wear bars and still no shake. Got a new tire, brought the wheel into a shop for them to change and balance, but after putting it on, I got this shake. I remember getting the wheel back with the wheel spacer still on, so I think that's what did it. I was just gonna balance it myself but had a question. Should you put the wheel weights on both sides if you have multiple to put on? Thanks

You're very welcome man and thank you for telling me your experience because I thought this was kind of odd. My question to you, what tire brand did you use and got the shaking? I would say yes, if you have to put a lot of weights like I did, perhaps putting them on both sides will have a better result instead of spreading them in a straight line like I did. I believe I'll re-balance it for a 3rd time and I'll make a video of it again until I get to the bottom of this. Also I forget if I mentioned this in the video, even tho I didn't have a shake with the old tire, when I let go the bars the bike would pull to the right like the alignment was off. Now with the new tire it has a small shake but now it goes dead straight, it's like I can never win 😆

@MototalkUSA So my new tire is a pirelli angel gt a spec. This also matches the one in the rear too. So I'm actually doing this now funny enough. I took off all the weights put, took out the spacer and it turns out the wheel centered out at a different spot than what they installed the weights at. I called the shop they said they put it on a machine to balance it. And they might have done it with the spacer. I just finished doing it without the spacer and it took 7 1/4 ounce weights. 4 on one side and 3 on the other. It's weird but I'm gonna go try it out here in a few mins and let you know what happens. I'll probably cut a weight in half and put both halves on each side.

@MototalkUSA also mine before I got the tire changed it had 8 weights total. When I got it back from the shop it had 12 weights on it. Now it has 7.

@@ericmartin4817 interesting, that looks like a nice tire you too, I would expect the machine to be precise unless those spacers are a no no when balanced but I would think they would know and take it off when they balanced it. Yeah let me know how it comes out pls.
