well the wishbone came out pretty easy, i was expecting some hammering to fall out from the strut. Nice to see that you sell whole assemblies. Makes the life so much safer 😀

I ordered the upper control arms & installed them last month. Allighnment showed the strut needs replacing as well. I struggled w that coil on the strut install & would've saved time removing both. Struts made it last week & only puntured a little of the cardboard in shipping. Some added protection inside might be a good investment in the future. A few feet of brown paper would keep the struts from moving around so much.

These vids are great and Sue is awesome but I recently had these installed on my 2.3L Gen 1 Mazda 6 and it rides so high in the front that they are unusable. You can see, starting around 8:10, how it's a longer coil than the original. I believe this is because 1A Auto does not differentiate between the 4 cyl and the 6 cyl on these strut assemblies and the V6 engine is about 200lbs heavier than the 4cyl. So if you install these on the 2.3L four you will be stuck runnning a comically high front end. And no, it doesn't "settle". I would love to be wrong about this and I invite any advice on how to get the car back to OEM ride height. Some have suggested that the control arm bushings were not torqued with the weight on the springs (preloaded) but can the bushings really hold a car 3 inches too high? Guess I'll have to find out.

I got some STRUT ASSEMBLIES. The issue is that when I slidt the strut so the three bolts stick out, that notch does not line up. It looks like the strut plate was put on at the factory incorrectly. i also dont have a spring compressor. Can I move and spin that strut plate so it lines up? I am stuck. The other strut fits fine. Any suggestions????

why is car height so high after you changed those loaded struts?? is that normal? same thing happen to my car! its been 2 months and it still high... tho a little lower.. its really annoying??

Same with my 04 . It’s been 9 months and the front looks lifted. I Changed the springs in the back also looks fine.

I believe that the struts for a Mazda 6i (4 cylinder) and Mazda 6S (6 cylinder) are different. the 6S struts are different, and if installed on a 6i, it raises the body. The 1A Auto website doesn't specify the submodel, and I think that is an error. I noticed that Monroe had different struts for these two submodels.
