Another way to not cut the bolt is to release the air of the air bag by untighten the screw from up of the strut. That’s the way that I do. Sorry my Bad english.in this way the bolt will come out very easy

A very good guide. However, I would recommend using more penetrating oil to loosen up those rusty parts.

You skipped exactly what I'm having problems with. How did you get access to the nut on the rear of the upper driver's control arm bolt? My X164 has all kinds of crap blocking the way from above so I can't even SEE the nut with a flashlight, let alone got a socket on it to hold it and remove the bolt and hold one in place to put the new bolt in.

You don't need to cut the bolt, just deflate the spring loosing the air line on the top, and the bolt will go out!

All you had to do was remove the 1 lower strut bolt and nut to lower control arm and bolts come right out easily!

Bro nice im glad you put this video...i got my lower control arm i wasnt sure if the air shock need to be bleed out..but i guess not great...question beside the SAM(under the hood) or the height stabilizer what other things control it.. Malfunction light for air suspension wont go up fuse and relay are good

@@ETMotorsports i was able to scan the suspension system. Install the new pump and plug back in the relay nothing change. I notice smoke coming out from the engine fuse box. I order another one i got today. Unfortunately they send me the wrong one....now i cant scan that system at all.

Hey - great suggestion...when I did the job I didn't have a programmer that was able to deflate the bag without unhooking the air line at the top and I didn't want to unhook the line because I wasn't sure if it will be able to seal after that...In retrospect I should have replaced the shocks and bags at the same time, which would have made a lot more sense...
