One thing that should be mentioned is if you are doing only the control arm, there is no need to remove the sway bar bolt or the shock absorber. I think they just did that for another video on their replacement.

Bought all the parts for front end suspension replacement, thank you! Where do I buy the bounce bumper that you said you'd have to "replace this at a later date" 6:14 ? How critical is this piece?

If you stop the video at 6:04, while torquing to 85 ft/lbs, You will see the lock washer totally squishes out. Following these instructions, my cam bolt kit replacement also squished out, found that out the hard way, and rewatched the video again realizing his did the exact same thing. Kinda funny how the video keeps on playing showing another NOT squished out lock washer and possibly stripped bolt from a $40 set of camber bolts. Pretty sure these replacement camber bolt sets are of a lower grade and not hardened like original camber bolts torqued to factory specs with no lock washer. Guess I Shoulda just went to the junk yard instead. Also found out that Preloading control arm bushings is a thing.. sorta, but not really explained in this video.

i paid 1000 bucks for my 4x4 sonoma and it looks beautiful, but the more i work on it, the more i realize it's looking almost as rough underneath as the test truck he uses in these videos. I fear i'm gonna end up replacing the entire underside before it's all said and done.

Made a comment mistake. I should have said this video is NOT an S10 2WD, it's a 4WD.

Do NOT use never seize on that pivot pin. Never seize is grease with an abrasive in it, it will accelerate wear not reduce it! Use regular grease.

It's hard to get the comtrol arm bolts out woth the shock in the way. They are 20 bucks a piece so you might as well change them anyway

This is an S10 2WD. Not the same procedure when you remove the 2WD S10 because of the spring shock tower. not even close. Recommend you rename this to S10 4WD remove.

Dude the S-10 Truck isn't 4 wheel drive that I have why didn't you clarify the difference instead of showing a C-V joint I was confused by this and I also read that 4 wheel drive is the only set up that uses shims regular trucks do not need them

So I take out the broken away bars to replace them but the didnt line up right only to the left I had to fight it to death to get the right to line up.

Put one of our control arm bolts thru the front of the shock & out the, rear.... (Proceeds to install TOP, shock, bolt.🤣🤣🤣

Yeah those bolts on the upper control arm are hard to get to and get off. Man I would soak those in a pool of seafoam deep creep overnight
