This is a great tutorial! I bought the entire rotor and hub assembly together so this was much more detailed than i needed but if i decide to ever only replace only the hub, this video is the one im finding. One of the best I've ever seen. Absolutely great work!!

Wow. That's a lot of work. I am looking at used econolines and their service histories show a lot of bearing replacements. I didn't realize the rotor was merged w the bearing. On my Tacoma the rotor is super easy to change...pops right off once you remove the caliper. Seems like when you change the rotors on these you might as well do the whole thing. Or if you have to do bearings might as well change the rotors.

thanks for visiting this channel and watching this video, yes they have different prcedure of replacing the bearing compare to traditional bearings.
@HULLBOX-yz9im Жыл бұрын
if you put a large gloop of the grease in the palm of your hand you can smack the bearing into the grease and pack it into the bearing saving you some time and also ensuring you get plenty of grease in the bearing , called packing a bearing , just slam it into the palm with the grease .
@JM-AUTO Жыл бұрын
yes you are absulutely right, now I have the tool and it is much faster and to insure no small spot will be empty inside the bearing, thanks for sharing that is very appreciated.

There's more to it than just smacking it into the grease. At least to do it right. That bearing won't be greased enough.
