How To Replace Fuel Injectors and O-Rings || 1998 to 2002 Honda Accord

A couple days ago my 2002 honda accord would occasionally misfiring when going uphill slowly. I got a P0304 code. Today I replaced all fuel injectors. I stress-tested my car by going slow/fast uphill. My car wouldnt pass 4k RPM and I also got a P1259 code. I checked my oil levels and they were low. I am an aggressive driver so I assume that is what causes the high oil consumtion. Now that my car has new fuel injectors and sufficient oil, my car runs like new. VTEC sounds beautiful and I can go uphill very fast. Thank you so much for this video bro 👍

Gokd video, very educational. Only thing i wouls recommend is don't pull by tje fuel rail, grab the injectors by 1 and 4, pull out of plave the donthe samw with 2 and 3, then life oit of place

To relieve fuel pressure 1) remove fuel pump fuse, then 2) start engine. (Or pull fuse while engine is running.) The engine will stop when the fuel lines are clear and pressure relieved. Don't forget to replace fuse when fuel system work is completed.

This kills the injectors on this vehicle so fuel pressure is not relieved. You have to pull the fuel pump power connection at the pump.

There's a metal vacuum line that leads to the idle air control valve, and it's attached to the top of the rail on the passenger side. It's got a sheet metal mount that's crimped onto it, and the mount is attached to the fuel rail with a 10 mm bolt on the back of the rail. I just used a combination wrench to remove that bolt...not sure if a socket would have enough room between the head of the bolt and the sheet metal mount. One you've detached that line from the rail you can wiggle the rail around and get it out. You might have to remove that line entirely...I didn't, and I got all of my injectors out intact, but it does force you to do a lot of lateral movement of the rail towards the driver's side in order to get it out from under the line, which tilts all of the injectors in that direction before the rail finally is out from under the vacuum line, and possibly that could damage them. I probably just got lucky. EDIT: Yeah, definitely just take it out. You'll see how that guy dealt with it, plus get a clear view of what I'm talking about. He just left the clamp on the rail and removed the vacuum line at both ends, plus he completely removed the rail from the engine. You can get a good look at the line, the place where it's attached to the rail, and the bolt. OP NEVER SHOWS THIS STEP AT ALL IN THIS VIDEO, (in fact there's a skip at 5:28 where he must have done it ...you can see where the passenger side end of the rail appears to be hung up, then there's a jump in the video and he's pulling it free), BUT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO MOVE THE RAIL UNTIL YOU'VE DEALT WITH THIS. No disrespect to Bullet Solano, by the way...other than this omission this is an excellent video.

My '02 Accord 4-cylinder liter makes a clacking noise like a '56 Chevy. It's been doing it since 60k miles and now it's at 119k and still clacking. Dealers say there's "no problem." I've adjusted the valve lash several times and no change in sound. I've read that these Accords have heavy injectors and they can make this noise. Have you heard of that? Otherwise mileage and performance is good. (It's the ULEV model if that makes any difference.) Yours is so nice and quiet on idle.

ULEV has a different exhaust manifold, a more restrictive intake manifold and cylinder head, and less horsepower, but I don’t know if that makes a difference on the sound! Probably

i did this on my 02 accord v6, and the injectors came out of the rail with quite some difficulty... but when i lubed the seal, they seemed to go in almost too easy... i don't seem to have any fuel leaking, and i can't smell any fuel when i put my nose in close to the injectors, but they are mostly under the intake manifold. is it normal for them to go in so easy to the rail? i ask because, i'm trying to track down a p1399 random misfire code that i developed right after... unsure if potentially a tiny fuel leak could reduce fuel pressure enough to cause this, or what... in my mind i dont think so, but i'm at a bit of a loss.. i also did a valve adjustment at the time, and was meticulous w it-- quadruple checked everything... but maybe i overtorqued the valve cover bolts and created a small vaccuum leak or something.. at a bit of a loss.

@@BulletSolano i cleaned out the intake manifold very well, but the actual egr path going down into the lower manifold didn't need cleaning. the one thing that i did do, that i'm going to undo is mismatch spark plugs. i had to put 2 new ones in because the threads of the older ones were gunked up w threadlocker from the previous owner... all 6 of my plugs are ngk, and in good shape, but 4 are platinum, and the 2 new ones are iridium. didn't think that could make a difference, but im hoping it is. i tried unhooking each ignition coil at, and when i did, there was a noticeable change, so i dont think i messed up any wiring-- or pinched any wires or anything... i'm hoping its the 2 irridium spark plugs, if it's not that, i'm going to put new ignition coils in it... if that doesn't do it, i'm either gonna take it somewhere to have a scan tool put on it, or get new injectors to put in to it. just frustrating to do work, expecting an improvement, and taking a step backward before going forward]

Scan for codes, and go from there, probably the conector is not plug in all the way in one injector, or you get the wrong injectors or probably something is not connected, but scan first
