Excellent clear video. One thing, those wire connectors were heat shrink connectors. If you heated them, they would have shrunk and sealed around the wire. You can identify them by their translucent color.

I broke mine while replacing and cant find the name of the sub assembly or the part. 2003 chevy blazer ls 2 door. Thanks!

Took me a month to get to this job on my 2003 GMC Sonoma pickup -- and after having watched this video -- I began the process to lower the fuel tank to gain access my fuel pressure sensor... but the 15 mm nut connecting the front fuel tank strap was rusted solid... and since this is a pickup truck -- I elected to opt for plan B and remove the bed... "Removing the bed" -- really tilting the bed -- worked fantastic for me - There are eight (8) frame to bed bolts.. - fully remove the front 6 bolts; loosen the rearmost 2 bolts about an inch and then tilt the truck bed and insert 10 inch 2x4's in the front "channel" to keep the bed up. This provides excellent access to the sensor and the fuel pump.. - there is another video that I watched that employed this method... but if your vehicle isn't a pickup -- dropping the tank may be the only way.. Another pit of misery moment with this job.... in trying to pry out the pressure sensor -- the plastic stem that sits into the fuel pump; cracked in the fuel pump... but this sensor is designed with a small diameter hole and I inserted a sheet rock screw into the remains of the plastic stem (have to give me brother credit for this fix) and was able to back out the cracked piece... Great video.

@sainhadam14783 жыл бұрын
No your Zr2 fuel tank and pump is different from the longer s10 pickup or 4dr Blazer/Jimmy. That's why some pumps may not fit your application.
@barbiesawada2453 жыл бұрын
They use different tanks for the newer S10s, 94-95 and maybe 96 uses a 20 gallon tank that doesn't have the small fuel neck next to the main filler neck. Connectors are different as well and the newer S10s use a 18.5 gallon tank.

It is safer to use a brass wedge or punch to pound the gas pump ring to move. That way there is no possibility of a spark. You never know and you have gas fumes and gas in the tank;

@@eisernenfuchs123 negative, they changed to the generation 2 in 1994 .The 94, 95 , 96 , and 97 all look the same from the front with the rectangular sealed beam head lights. 98 -2004 they went with the curved or wrap around head lights and a rounded dash.

@@eisernenfuchs123 if you're truck is a 1st generation square body , it is that , no matter what the sticker says , but according to GMs history on the S10 , production on the Gen 2 started in 1994 , thus the rounder lines , they might have had some leftover 93s they built in 1994 till they started production on the 1994 Gen 2. Remember these trucks go by model year , thus they probably built Gen 1 and Gen 2 in the same year.
