Great video! My friend has a 2006 Mazda 6. It will idle but if I put a demand on the engine by hitting the brakes or the gas pedal is surges and stalls. It has 200,000 miles and I am leaning towards the fuel pump you changed here. I haven't checked the codes. This was very helpful for me moving forward

If you haven't already found out, from what I understand, this car doesn't have a separate fuel filter. Just a mesh sock around the pickup.

Looks like it would be wise to have a near empty tank to avoid the flotation effect of the component.

Is the fuel regulator on the engine or by the fuel pump? I have a fault code pooo1 fuel pressure regulator open circuit. I'm tying to know with one is no good

Fuel regulator is in the fuel pump assembly.
