Planning on doing some cosmetic work on my S10. And this is actually crazy how easy it is to remove the grille. Makes me more confident in being able to do it myself. I'm just removing the stock grille off my truck so I can paint it a chrome paint. Not replacing it.

Well shoot you made it look easy! I recently got an S-10, found your channel and playlist, and will be referencingit anytime I work on the truck to see if you have a video on fixing a particular part!

Thanks for your video. It’s much better than some i watched. I ordered a new grille yesterday and will be putting in next week some time.

For people in the future TheElectronMan has an excellent tip on installing the clips, it also works for removing them. I used 420 channellocks instead of pliers. They didn't work on two of the bottom ones. I was able to find all but one of mine. I don't know if that deer knew what hit him but he didn't live to tell about it.

I bought some aftermarket grille AND aftermarket clips that have really made this process a pain. Nothing lines up quite right, the plastic of the grille is thicker than the original, the aftermarket clips are noted by many to already be way too tight even for OEM grille, but then openign them up with screwdriver and vise then makes them too loose, and the blinkers don't snap in nicely like they did on the original grille. Life Pro Tip: Junkyards are probably a better source of parts for these older vehicles because then you can actually get the OEM with all clips and pieces already attached.
