Thank you for helping others to figure out this unnecessarily complicated dealer design... who knew changing a lightbulb would be such a problem. With the help of your video, I was able to assist my daughter with this replacement!

Great video. Question: headlight adjustment screw on my 2011 Malibu appears to be stripped. trying to adjust it upwards by turning a clockwise but it doesn't move no matter which way I turn the screwdriver. Is the stripped part part of the headlight assembly or the frame? Is there a way to tell? Thanks.

+John Anthony There isn't really a trick at that point in adjusting it. You might want to replace that headlight.

@@TRQ so are you saying the stripped threads would likely be in the replaceable headlight assembly and not in, say whatever it attaches to? Been trying to find an image of the headlight assembly to ascertain that for myself short of going down to the dealership or something is looking for a parts diagram.

I had a similar problem on my Crown Victoria and it was the screw the came out of the headlight assembly so I replaced that. Hoping that is the problem with this and not say a stripped receiver in the frame or something.

+John Anthony The part that you turn with the screw driver is the part that looks like a bottle cap, not the actual screw head. If you turn that part and nothing happens in either direction, then the internal threads might have become detached, so adjusting is impossible. You would have to replace the assembly at that point if it needs to be adjusted.
