Very useful indeed. I hit a corner of the mirror while parking in a small place and besides the mirror also the black plastic frame/trim around the mirror was damaged. How do you replace that trim? Thanks! Sharan 7N 2013.

I have never done a trim, sorry. Probably it just clips in... and I don't have that car anymore...

Great video, do you, by chance, have anything on how to replace the turn signal bulb in the door mirror?

Unfortunately it's not just a bulb - it's a string of LEDs, and you can't replace it, it is integrated into mirror housing. You need to replace whole bottom cover of mirror housing. Somebody already asked me to make a video on that one, I decided not to do it, because it can be done without unlocking car, and I already have complaints that mirrors get stolen because of my videos. I don't have manual at the moment. As I remember - you need to take mirror glass out, 3 screws inside hold mirror motor and then you unclip top part from bottom part. I don't remember if there were any extra screws. I hope you got the idea and will figure it out.

Is there any way to repair the mirror folding mechanism? Mine has stopped closing but opening works fine.

The car in the video is second generation VW Sharan 7N, also known as Mk2. Previous model 7M had few restylings (facelifts) over the years (1995-2010) and some people mistakenly were taking it as completely new model. In reality they were called Mk1, Mk1A and Mk1B, because it was just restyling. In 2010 VW released new model of Sharan.
