well everything is okay after the replacement, after 400km the owner of the car only told 1 thing. He says the car eats more of diesel by 1 liter /100km according to the Skoda's dashboard.120 km/h tempomat was 5l/100km and now it was 6l/100km. Any idea about it? :D

Did this yesterday and this video was a lifesaver. Two things: use a long - and I mean really long spanner to loosen the belt. If you don't have one, you will be swearing in multiple languages for a long time. Second thing. The top bolt - no amount of wiggling can get the bastard out, I had to physically break a small section of the plastic fan mount with pliers just to get it out. One more thing. You really need a second person to put the belt back on.

Hi there 👋, could you tell me if you think my car has a starter motor problem The Car wont start, all interior electrics work, When i turn ignition key to position 1 dash lights up and flickers when i turn it to start the car loses all power completely, then comes back after a few minutes or if i disconnect/reconnect battery I have replaced battery I connected wire from battery earth to engine block and the ignition lights stayed on on the dash i turned the key to start and it cranked over a tiny bit for half a second. I could hear the starter trying to move but then all power was lost again To me it seems the car is drawing too much power then resetting itself

Unfortunately, I’m not as clever as I pretend to be in my videos. By the symptoms I would blame the battery, but once it’s out of the equation… I don’t know. Definitely something wrong with electrical system when ignition is on, but I have no clue what it could be, sorry

Hi dude, thanks for the informational video on dealing with the sliding door. Here I met a problem with my Sharan 2016 sliding door, may I ask for your thought about it? A few days ago, one of my friend, without knowing it'a an auto door, try to open the rear right by force, he tried 3~4 times until I told him to stop. At first, the door button kept flashing with the door open/close normally, and even the door is closed, the final "soft close" has gone, and button was still flashing. Then after a few tries (open and close), the button works like before (no more flashing), but the doot (rear right) still has no "soft close" after a "seems ok closing". so, pls, what's your professional suggestion about it? I've tried the "resetting" with rear right window button holding up for 3 seconds, but the "soft close" happens only occe/twice in ten tests.
@wawayltd6 күн бұрын
I had occasional trouble with soft close, but it didn’t become a real problem, so I don’t have any experience with that bit. Sorry. I don’t have that car anymore…Try some forums to facebook groups,maybe?

@wawayltd thanks for the instant response anyway, sir. I've done some searching but no luck so far. Now I'm at hometown, and planning to check that in VW service after driving back to home. A diagnosis thru the OBD-II is my 1st thought in mind.

I don't have any experience with injectors, but VCDS is considered one of the best for VAGs.

So my blower has just stopped today. I mean is this the most likely cause? Just replace the actual blower?
@wawayltd9 күн бұрын
In my experience, every time the blower stops, replacing it helps. I can't guarantee 100%, but if it would happen to me again, I would go directly for new blower.
@stevekayjackkay11 күн бұрын
Youre doing it weong. You dont need the electronic device to retract the piston or remove the motor. You use a 3 pronged tool to wind and push piston back. Also you dont need to remove the caliper bracket as the disc comes of without.
@wawayltd11 күн бұрын
On some cars the bracket doesn't allow to remove the disc. As for manual rewind as you described, I can't test it as I don't have a car with EPB at the moment. I know that when cars with EPB first appeared, garages that didn't have appropriate software couldn't push them back. Somehow, I suspect that they would've tried this simple option.. Not 100% sure, as I can't test it myself now.

Sensor 1 is cheaper than sensor 2, but I don't know if replacing it will help to solve the error. I don't have any experience with glow plug circuit. I can't help much, sorry.

Hello my friend hope you doing well.. I used to have audi a3 1.9 tdi. Now I have a toyota avensis 2.0 drd. My son has recently bought a 2013 vw golf 1.6 tdi. Somebody said when you change the front brakes you should clamp the brake hose with a plier or something then open the bleeder valve and then push the piston back in. Once the piston has fully gone in close the bleeder valve. What's do you think? Is that necessary?
@wawayltd17 күн бұрын
What you described is the way of replacing brake pads and refreshing brake fluid as well. In my personal opinion, I don't think it's that necessary. You can do it for perfection. However, couple of my previous cars have done over 400.000 miles, I have never replaced brake fluid in them. I assume that your son's Golf doesn't drive as much. Bear in mind, it's just my opinion. You can do some research, see what people say.

Beautifully done! I love your clear and accurate and interesting text throughout 🙂. I've sometimes found it necessary to make sure the two pin-bolts at the end align well with the caliper bracket before turning them, to prevent them cross threading. Also, after removing the two pins at the start, I can usually twist the caliper to push the piston in enough to remove the caliper without using tools. This is useful if you are not replacing the discs and so don't want to damage them. This is a job that everyone thinks is easy for a beginner, but there are quite a few details to get right so I think your video is really helpful!

@wawayltd17 күн бұрын
The Audi was gone in 2015 with 409.000 miles, then I had Sharan that has done 423.000 miles, sold it and it isstill driven. Then I had similar pre-face lift Skoda and now I drive this for about a year. The A6 as far back in history. 😉
