Is this just the OEM one? Honda door checkers are trash. I have replaced my drivers side 3 times, and it lasts maybe a few months and it's the same way again. I feel like they should make a better aftermarket one that actually works like other cars. Your video is great though...detailed and honest. For the ppl asking, he isn't just making it look easy for the video. He does include how long it takes in total.

Thanks for the watch. Yeah I completely agree with you, my door checker went bad a few month after. Idk what is is with the design but they are no good :/

They were “new used” bought them off facebook marketplace place, but I recommend just getting new ones on rock auto or Amazon. My door checkers didn’t last very long.

Do you know if the door checkers are cross compatible betweeb Fa5 (sedan) and Fg2 ( coupe)? I have a Fg2 coupe and can't find information on this anywhere 😢

I’m not 100% sure bro what you could do it compare part number from the couple door checker to the sedan door checker. To see If there’re the same part.

How old is your civic? I bought mine a while ago and somehow all of the door checks are ruined. I was quoted about 500 dollars to do all of them, thought I would spare the money and do it myself. Mine is a 2010, and everything always looks easy online but seems to be a curse of me when I work on cars. It takes forever to fix anything.

My car is an 08 but these 8th gen civics are starting to show their age. Honestly it’s not a hard jobs just takes a lot of time probably 30-40 min per door.
