Didn’t work with my 1996 Ram 2500 Cummins. Went to 3 parts stores and none of the 3 worked. I ended up pulling out the switch to compare with the existing switch and it (my 96) was thinner than what the parts stores were showing . It ended up a 97 switch and key lock cylinder worked perfectly. I replaced both since I had them out. They were Carquest #CSC1708 (lock Cylinder) and Carquest #CSC1101 switch. Put it all in, started right up. Just fyi if you are having trouble putting it together.

Dous anyone know if the ignition switch will cause the enginee to stall while running then doesn't want to fire back up until you wait for 5 to 10 minutes

I have a brand new stitch and new lock cylinder independently they both turn back and forth through there full rotation but once I install the lock cylinder into the switch it won't turn to the off position it gets stuck

What does it help you to show us with a key? We need you to show us without a key how to do it. If someone loses the key, how can the ignition be replaced?
