always, always, always, put those shields back in place before installing the glove box. they are designed to keep soda, coffee, moisture (from a leaking air duct or windshield) and yes BEER from dripping into the fuse box. even small amount of moisture in that fuse box will make all kinds of stupid things happen. and expensive too.

Dewayne Wilson, most likely you have a leaking windshield which is common problem for 2014-2017 Cascadias, I would recommend checking for leaks first and take care of that issue and only then think about replacing the box...
