Yeah he was definitely trying to rip you off I got a quote from my alignment guy it was going to replace both my uppers my lower ball joints stabilizer arms and tie rods inner and outer for under $900

I was having some trouble getting my inner tie rod to unscrew while using the inner tie rod tool from O'Reilly's. I ended up buying a heat gun to warm up the area and it came right off.

Isn't there a breather hole/vent hole on the bellows boot that has to line up with small inlet tube on steering rack?

Do not torque your lug nuts to 130 foot pounds! Dodge released a TSB that says to only go to 100 because 130 warped the rotors.
