I want to know if my Extreme 2 still repairable? because some had borrowed it without the charger. When the battery was low they tried to recharging it using the USB on the back of Extreme direct to power outlet. After returning blutooth and Power on does not ON if using battery only and goes ON only if plug and using only line IN jack to make it sound from audio source. 😞

@@TechscrewDIY dead battery, not sure if it still needs the battery at some sort. mines seems to have a dead battery unfortunately. havent tried to open it yet to do tests. out of warranty :(

I recommend buying a new battery, it doesn't cost much, but you get a back speaker.

how would I diagnose my speakers battery being bad because what if its something else im pretty sure its the battery I plug it in it doesnt charge what so ever it will turn on while on the charger but it shuts off 5 seconds later could this be the battery or something more

Need help. My speaker wont stay on. I replaced the battery but when I turn the speaker on it will stay on for a minute and turn off. It also doesn’t charge😭

So the battery itself says it has 5000mah capacity however JBl themselves say it has 10.000mah. Which is it? Also there are batteries available that have more than 5000mah and say they have 6800mah total capacity. Are these legit and safe? I mostly use my speaker at festival campsites. So extra battery would be nice but it needs to be safe.

5000mAh is at 7.2v and give around 37 Watt Hours, at 3.6v it will be 1000mAh and the same Watt Hours.
