The way you speak with advice, and cautionary statements... especially with concern for your customers product right down to caring for the bezel.. (and even the way you explained that).... Your instructions were clear, and I was able to follow along effortlessly. I'm truly impressed with the level of detail you provided throughout the video. Each step was thoroughly explained, and the visual demonstrations made it even easier to grasp. Your attention to detail and the quality of your explanations truly set this tutorial apart from others I've seen. It's just a shame that your company only ships within the US. If anyone else ends up with any stripped bezel screws like I did (thanks to manufacturer over tightening them). Use a dremel cutter blade to cut a slit into the screw heads - they're very soft so use a light touch - then using a small flathead screwdriver and a bit of muscle they'll come right out and can be reused. Use caution so as to not damage the edge of the bezel when cutting the slit.

@@bradleydean8465 disconnect the main board and apply power. Do you have backlights now?

@@Patch1stripeTVParts Hi no I don't have power only when I used my backlight tester . I bought me another powerboard to check if it was probably a connection problem with the powerboard and the connection between the plastic white connector and the led but it's doing the same thing

@@bradleydean8465 did you you test the old LEDS to see if they are actually bad.

Yes I wasn't getting any light with my backlight tester that's why I decided to change the light in the tv
@bradleydean84652 ай бұрын
But for some reason all new light in but only seem to work with the backlight tester so I'm wondering do I have to open up the tv again and look inside but does it make sense if the lights working. Do you think the white plastic connection piece on the back that connects to the powerboard and backlight could be a issue

I agree, I put my arms under panel for the lift or if the panel is larger, I have a large 1/4 inch clear panel used for edge light led that I kept from a harvest that I cover with cloth and slide under the panel that gives me more ridge support on my panel lifts. This really works the best.

Dang it...I just left my 65" LG out on the curb yesterday for trash because the LED's stopped working. I looked this morning and someone already took it. I thought, hmmm, maybe I should've checked KZbin first to see if I could repair it and found this video...too late now

Instead of replacing the strips I wanna replace the leds u can save money and make more money
@Patch1stripeTVParts4 жыл бұрын
I have a different take on this subject. I like to replace all led strips in a tv or none at all. I try to keep my reputation solid by not having any repeat failures. Time is money and if I have redo a job for free, I loose my wages for the time it take me to redo that job over again when I can be working on another tv. Saving a customer money at your expense and reputation is not a move for a boss technician. I say this with love.

I am going to take a respectful guess - you have a lot of customers. A successful business man once told me - if you have too many customers, you are not charging enough. There is all types of clientele out here and you can select the best by the price that you value your expertise. I make good money without having a revolving door. Don't de-value our trade by not charging enough for what you do. Less problems also go with this theory.
