Thank You so much for showing a senior citizen how they can change the back hatch struts themselves. 🙂

Thank you for his video. I'm a female paramedic and love doing my own handiwork and repairs. I was able to replace both struts on my 2006 Trailblazer in less than 10 minutes. You saved me the trouble of going to a dealer and having them blow smoke up my b#!! trying to overcharge me for time and labor. God bless you!

Thank you for the informative video. You should note that the same general instructions apply to changing the struts on the hatch window too. I was able to change both in about 3 minutes (or less) with your help..

Was very helpful! Thanks for posting! Was able to replace the ones on my 03 Trailblazer in less than 5 min.

@xyz4565AT You would need to remove the tailgate door panel to access the locking mechanism inside of the door. We do carry parts for a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer but currently do not carry the locking mechanism.

They tend to attach in a similar fashion on most vehicles. You may be able to apply some of this procedure to your 2001 Chevy Impala.

@ Jim Cross. We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular procedure. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Any videos on replacing liftgate hinges?
@1AAuto11 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately we do not have anything on the power lift gates at this time.

@ftswarbill We sell the correct ones for this vehicle located on our website here. These are for the hatch. 1aauto.com/1A/LiftSupports/Chevy/Trailblazer/1ALSP00104/365182/2002?ATony

So there are quite a few video on how to replace these lift gate struts, but what about for the power lift gate strut. The two struts on each side look a little different but I only ever see one strut listed for a 2008 Chevy Equinox. Not a 'left' (power) side and a 'right' side.

Does it matter which way it goes in. Like the thicker part on top or bottom

Looks easy, but what do I do if the hatch is stuck shut? Do you sell the parts for a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer? What is the cost?

Trying to find a part number for the OTHER shocks that hold the rear GLASS up, my hatch shocks are OK but when you open just the glass it won't stay up. Any chance you can help me out on that?

Thank you for watching our video! I did search our inventory but unfortunately we do not carry those particular pieces at this time. Thank you again, and have a good day!

One of the clips/nipples that holds the strut end is loose (the piece that is already on the truck)...it's causing the strut to pop off ...any advice on removing the outside panel so that I can get inside and find the nut to tighten that nipple?

My problem is the screw that it anchors to is just wobbly...how do I repair that?

You do a good job with the videos but you should add alot more info. In this video, what PSI unit should I buy, what is the difference, what is better? Autozone has a bunch cheaper but also offers nothing to what I and others need. I along with everyone else would buy from a guy that explains himself in much greater detail opposed to "here is how to install it, buy it now" type. Not being an ass but just add more info into youre videos.
