Thanks, you are the first person actually instruct how to wiggle the plug out. Others either either skipped this part or just shows an already half in plug.

Thanks for the vid. Just changed an H4 headlight bulb on third attempt. As usual once you have done one, the next time will be easy. The main problem is removing the black socket from the rear of the light bulb before you remove the rubber gasket. The manual implies you should squeeze and pull backwards. I was assuming there were some tabs which need depressing to get it to release. There are not. It really is just a case of pulling it back firmly and the bulbs tabs just slot in/out. I found mine were really solid - three people all tried in vain. I had a closer look at the socket on line and once I realised there were no tabs to depress and no wiring to damage on the sides I used a plumbers wrench to grab the socket rear - couple of wiggles and back-pull and off it popped. Easy peasey - Why has no one mentioned this before? Please tell everyone - shout it from the mountains - no copyright. Yes I am enjoying my cup of tea and biscuit victory moment.

Thanks a mill for the extra info. Gonna give this a go tomorrow. Had a back indicator light go a couple months back and this seems like it will be fiddly but a bit less work involved 🤞

Our granddaughter having passed her driving test and has bought her first 'new' car (2006 Micra) The dipped lights were both very dim. We found your video very helpful and informative, especially you showing good views of the actual bulb replacement in such a tight space. Thank you very much. Regards from Kent.

Superb job mate!! I always have to resort to removing the headlight to change the lamp...... To do it with the headlight in place is one heck of a fiddly job as you're not able to see what you're doing. Well done!

@@TajMotorMedics I bet! they make it harder and harder for car owners to access simple things like spark plugs, headlight lamps etc. I remember, back in circa 1980, when one of my main lamps failed in my Ford Cortina (MK5).... it, literally, took me 5 minutes to replace it Taj. These days (on some cars) you have to remove the front bumper to replace a headlight lamp......... crazy! Thank you, once again, for sharing your utter skill managing to swap out the lamp without having to remove the headlight...... you have my upmost respect Sir!

*Thank You* for that, much appreciated and what a fiddly effing job. It's almost as bad as my Hyundai Elantra passenger side headlight.
