I have a pump i've been working on that continues to leak. I believe its due to the housing where the stationary seal fits. its badly pitted from rust. Have you run into this situation before? Do you think liquid silicon gasket might help the seal? Or do you think its time for a new pump?

Loxeal engineering adhesives is what we used then we got a new gasket but didnt come with information

How do you remove the pump housing if by hand force doesn't work. We don't want to damage anything and yet most technicians will get a hammer and flat head screw driver and prime it open
