I just replaced my water filter reset the water filter button. I just ran the water for 5 min and it still tastes like contaminated water…I don’t understand what’s going on with my filter. When I first replaced it the water came out like when you turn your water back on after it was shut off..I checked the water from my sink and that’s cleaner than my LG is right now. I didn’t have any issues prior to changing the filter but for some reason I don’t know what the issue is with my water filter not clearing up.

the box advises to have it 30 seconds pressed and a minute off in intervals rather than continuously pressed. Hope this helped

There’s a design flaw preventing me and apparently everyone else who has this filter assembly from installing it. There’s many KZbin videos on how to correct it but I wish they were much more specific. I have no clue what they are telling me to do

Thiers a reset tool someone made google LG a water filter reset tool. Apparently the little tabs in the filter component get stuck when turning and don’t come back into the right place. When you take the used filter out this doesn’t allow you to put the new one in. This filter reset was made to fix it. I have one on the way as we speak.
